Halcyon Listening Room – a Julian Hartwell x Evolvlove Project

Please join us for a live cinematic meditative sound journey experience, as composer and producer Julian Hartwell and master sound healer Kirk Jones present their new album ‘Halcyon Listening Room’. Julian will be playing piano while Kirk plays bronze and crystal singing bowls, Paiste gongs, and molinuka flute. Several songs feature nature sounds (from birds to ocean waves to tree frogs to rolling thunder) that they recorded around the US and Caribbean providing a grounding and inspiring backdrop – all reminders to pause, listen, and reflect.

The evening begins with a short qigong movement practice, guided relaxation, and grounding and concludes with a gentle gong bath – allowing time for integration of your experience as you re-awaken to a new world.

We have a collection of pillows, blankets, and eye pillows available, but feel free to bring whatever you need to be comfortable sitting or lying. If you’d like to request zero gravity chair – please reach out.

Kirk Jones, aka Evolvlove, is a master sound healer and bioenergy therapist based in Burlington, Vermont, that has been leading regular sound baths and private healing sessions across the US and internationally since 2013 and certifying the sound healers of the future since 2016. Collaborating with many musicians over the years, including leading the 8-member Evolvlove Sacred Sound Orchestra in 2017/18, Kirk has been pushing the boundaries of sound, music, and healing. When Julian Hartwell invited him to work on an album together in 2020, he didn’t hesitate. They have created a masterpiece of sonic creativity and are excited to welcome you into the Halcyon Listening Room!

Julian Hartwell is a sought-after pianist, composer, and producer based in Philadelphia, PA with jazz roots stemming from his childhood in Birmingham, Alabama. Over much of the last 20 years, Julian has played nearly every genre of music including 7 years leading a full jazz ensemble, the Julian Hartwell Project. He’s performed his original work from NYC to Charleston and across Europe and Latin America. His latest album, “Halcyon Listening Room”, a collaboration with sound healer Evolvlove, is his epic debut into the realm of meditative journeys.
