2025 Somerset County Black History Bus Tour
NOTE: Due to a Winter Storm Watch, the tour has been rescheduled (from Feb. 22) to Saturday, March 1, 2025.
Join the Somerset County NAACP and partners for a day-long guided bus tour of Somerset County, Maryland.
Tickets are $20/person. Tickets MUST be purchased through Eventbrite. Tranportation and food provided, including breakfast, lunch & dinner.
The 2nd Annual Somerset County Bus Tour BEGINS at 6:30 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, located at 30683 Hampden Avenue, Princess Anne, MD.
Board the YELLOW SCHOOL BUS in Crisfield OR Princess Anne.
CRISFIELD PICKUP:
6:00 a.m. Crisfield Elks Lodge, 4410 Crisfield Hwy, Crisfield, MD 21817
PRINCESS ANNE PICKUP:
6:30 a.m. Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 30683 Hampden Ave., Princess Anne, MD 2185
Tour stops will include approximately sites – including churches, historical sites, murals & markers – in Princess Anne, Manokin, Westover, Marion, Venton, Mt. Vernon, and Crisfield. Tour will end at 6 pm in Crisfield. Transportation will be provided back to Princess Anne for those who boarded the bus in Princess Anne.
Tour Guides include Shelley Johnson, Lucille Hayward & Carrie Samis. Additional storytellers will assist throughout the tour.
