Featuring: Marian Seibert, soprano, & William McJohn, medieval harp

Join MWC artists Molly Seibert and Bill McJohn as they present an afternoon concert featuring the music of the 11th-century mystic and abbess Hildegard von Bingen, known as the “Sybill of the Rhine” for her visionary and prophetic verses. Seibert, a prominent performer, teacher, and scholar of Hildegard’s music, is joined by McJohn, an accomplished teacher and performer of medieval music. Seibert is the MWC’s Assistant Conductor and a principal soloist, and McJohn serves on the faculty of our Zomerzang and Musica Practica programs in addition to supporting the choir as our principal “accompanist” on medieval harp. Both Seibert and McJohn transcribe and arrange medieval music for performance, and present this concert in support of the MWC’s ongoing mission to share, teach, and illuminate the music of the medieval period.

Suggested donation for admission: $20
