Inside at 1030 Main St. | Food & Drinks Available Braxton Cook is an Emmy Award Winning Artist and one of this generations mostexciting emerging voices in the Jazz world. Braxton grew up in Silver Spring,Maryland. In 2013, Braxton was selected as a semi-finalist in the Thelonious MonkInternational Jazz Saxophone Competition. In 2015, he graduated from The JuilliardSchool where he studied Jazz Composition. While a student at Juilliard, Braxtontoured with Grammy Award-nominated trumpeter Christian Scott and became along-term member in Christians band honing his skills on the road. He has alsotoured and performed with Christian McBride Big Band, Jon Batiste and Marquis Hillamong others. In 2017, Fader Magazine named Braxton a Jazz Marvel and JazzProdigy. And shortly after, Braxton was listed as Top Five Jazz Artist to Watch(alongside Robert Glasper, Kamasi Washington, Butcher Brown, and Kris Bowers) inthe 2018 June Issue of Ebony Magazine. BLUE NOTE NAPA is on the 1st floor of the historic Napa Valley Opera House and is an intimate 180-seated live music club and restaurant. World-class and local Bay Area artists perform here.
