PHUN is a Wisconsin based Phish Tribute and Jamband

Guitarist Mike Scieszinski founded PHUN in 2009, and has always lead PHUN as musical director. Phish had been “retired” and the band was created to fill that void: shortly after PHUN’s first gig – Phish returned to touring. phun is Matt Douglas on bass, Lucas Trilling on Keys, and Paul Westfahl on drums to fill out the quartet with Scieszinski at the helm on guitar.

PHUN shows have evolved over the last 16 years, and the band has an extensive history. In 2014 PHUN created a touring production of the Phish Original Musical Gamehendge (The Man who Stepped into Yesterday) written by Trey Anastasio. PHUN hosts a popular Annual holiday event in Madison called Hippy X-mas.

the band first appeared at Summerfest in 2019 opening for Dead tribute veterans Dark Star Orchestra at the BMO Pavillion, and returned to that stage for Summerfest 2022. In 2023 the band shared the Miller Lite Oasis stage with Joe Russo’s Almost Dead. The band are regulars at High Noon Saloon in Madison and Shank Hall in Milwaukee. Dream Setlist weddings, Corporate Gigs, Private Parties and festivals; PHUN has been around the block, Spreading the gospel according to Fishman far and wide, by offering phans a less expensive, alternative venue in which to celebrate it.

Spare Change Trio is known largely for their eclectic live performances that incorporate the Australian Yidaki (didgeridoo) into flowing soundscapes of reggae, funk, and jazz-fusion. Deeply rooted in the positive message of reggae music, the band has grown to realize their calling: to spread peace, love, and harmony… while laying down an infectious groove.

Spare Change Trio has been fortunate to open for their idols Mike Love, Dirt Wire, Satsang and The Wailers. As well as playing some of their favorite iconic venues, 7th St Entry in Minneapolis, Schubas in Chicago, Shank Hall in Milwaukee, along with a coveted set at the Eagles Ballroom in the Rave opening for 311. Their recent festival appearances include Summerfest, Peacetree Music Festival, People’s Fest, Vibe HIgh, Galactic Get Down, and Shangri-la Music Festival.
