Overview
The 2025 Black College Invitational Classic Championship Education Day (BCICHSED) will be held Thursday, March 20th and Friday, March 2st at Bojangles Coliseum 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and surrounding districts. It provides students the opportunity to learn more about the importance of furthering their education and to explore and discover the exciting programs and experiences CIAA, MEAC, SIAC, and SWAC colleges and universities have to offer. The men’s and women’s basketball teams from each of the four athletic conferences will be featured and will be joined by a host of the HBCUs around the country.
This event is geared towards high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors, as well as community college students.
Attendees will attend a brief opening program with opening remarks and the purpose of the event. The rest of the time will be for students to navigate the various college/university and educational vendors at their own pace. We strongly encourage your students to visit each booth represented at the fair. Lunch will also be available for purchase during this time via Bojangles Coliseum concession vendors.
REGISTRATION FEES
All spaces include one (1) 6′ skirted table and two (2) chairs .
Paying by debit/credit card:
- Single day – $161.90 ($150.00, plus a $7.34 service fee and $4.56 processing fee)
- Both days – $215.26 ($200.00, plus a $9.19 service fee and $6.07 processing fee)
Paying by invoice/check:
- Single day – $150.00
- Both days – $200.00
NOTE: If being a vendor for both days, you will have access to continental breakfast, an exclusive meet-and-greet (held on Thursday, March 20th), and access to a room block for discounted hotel rooms.
IMPORTANT DEADLINES
- Friday,February 21st (5:00 p.m.) – Deadline to submit application for participation.
- Friday, February 28th (or sooner) – Notification of selection to participate.
- Friday, March 7th– Vendor payment must be received (credit card processed or mailed checks postmarked)
REFUND POLICY
All refunds are subject to a $100.00 fee. Additionally, please note that Eventbrite fees cannot be refunded.
