Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather are likely to make an announcement this week that they have agreed to the Mayweather vs McGregor fight against one another in the boxing ring, reports say.
Mayweather vs McGregor Fight
Mayweather and McGregor have exchanged very harsh but exciting words between each other for the past few months, but with the UFC blocking a fight between the two no official announcement has been made yet.
However, after Dana White stopped resisting the idea of the two super stars actually going head to head in a boxing match, it seems as though all the final details have been settled and agreed upon.
The Sun claim an announcement will be made this week about when and where McGregor vs Mayweather will take place.
The record-breaking fight was also said to be held up by a third-party issue, believed that the UFC was holding out due to contract deals were McGregor is signed.
But after UFC boss Dana White got behind the crossover fight, the two parties have put out their thoughts of a big payday.
Floyd “Money” Mayweather retired a few years ago ending his career at 49-0, and winning 26 fights by knockout.
Conor McGregor is a lot bigger than Floyd. He’s 28 years old and he’s in the prime of his career. Floyd is 40 and has always had a problem with southpaws. Conor is a southpaw and Conor hits hard.
Despite the money-spinning fight, McGregor’s coach has insisted the Irish star will NOT quit MMA after the superfight.
Recently, McGregor said: “Trust me, I will stop Floyd. You’re all going to eat your words. The whole world will eat their words.
