EXPERIENCE
Your experience begins as your private driver picks you up from your address in Warsaw in a comfortable Mercedes car. From there, travel to Kazimierz Dolny for a full-day experience. Once there, take a 3-hour city your during which your local English-speaking guide is on hand to explain the atmosphere of this beautiful city to you.
Kazimierz Dolny is one of the most valuable and charming places in Poland. The city is known for its connection with art and artists, and many painters have their galleries and workshops there. Most historic Polish towns tend to have an Old Town square, and in Kazimierz Dolny you can wander through the splendid market square, known as the Rynek. One of the area’s most significant and popular attractions is the old well, which sits in the heart of the square.
Surrounding this popular well are some charming buildings, many of which have recently been converted into trendy up-and-coming bars, art galleries, and cafes. Wander around at your leisure, and stop for a coffee or an ice-cream as you watch the world go by from this age-old square.
You can choose to tour the impressive ruins of the old castle, a Roman-style castle dating back to the 13th century – now a superb and insightful museum. Many of the walls have been reconstructed and maintained, containing information boards in both Polish and English. Among other sites, you can explore the castle courtyard, the viewing platform, the watchtower, and the cellar.
One of the most unique features of Kazimierz Dolny is how well the town mixes nature with man-made constructions. Just on the edge of the town, you can discover the Korzeniowy Dol Gorge for a scenic sample of the Polish countryside. Whilst there, delight yourself in this natural formation between trees and greenery. There are some walking trails to follow, all of which are easily explored on a trip from town without requiring any transportation. At the end of your big day out sightseeing, your driver returns you to Warsaw where you are dropped off to your chosen location.
