Barossa Gin School: Gin Making Experience with Light Lunch – Nuriootpa, Australia

EXPERIENCE

Take part in a craft gin making experience at the exclusive Barossa Gin School. Each of the work stations has a hand-made Italian copper still, ready to be the foundation upon which you will create your recipe. Working with a clean base spirit, allow yourself to be guided through the process of making a craft gin from scratch. 

You’ll be utilizing some of the most popular botanicals used in gin making today, as well as some not-so-well-known treasures. You ll learn about the techniques employed to craft gin. 

There will be plenty of different botanicals to play with and select from, so there s ample room to get creative. By the time you re finished selecting, measuring and recording your recipe, with guidance from the team if required, you ll be ready to lift the lid on the still.

While the stills heat through and work their magic, you ll enjoy a 3-course lunch. Once the stills release their freshly-crafted gin you can put the finishing touches to your labels and get ready to hand bottle your very own Gin

Once bottled, the only thing left to do to your creations is affix the label and add a wax seal if desired. At the end of the activity you ll take home your very own personal gin, handcrafted and hand-bottled by you.
