Floyd Confident Mayweather vs McGregor Fight Set To Happen This Year!
“If me and Conor McGregor do happen to make the fight happen — which I think the fight will happen — I would love for this young kid [Gervonta] Davis to be on the undercard,” McGregor told Showtime.
“I had a great career and my career may not be over. No. 50 may be against Conor McGregor. We’ll just wait and see.”

Mayweather’s representatives Al Haymon, are expected to meet with UFC president Dana White in the next few days to begin ironing out a deal for the two fighters to meet in the ring later this year.
It certainly seems Mayweather is confident that negotiations with the UFC and McGregor will go well enough that he’ll put on his gloves again and look for the 50th win of his professional career later this year.
This megafight will drive millions to Las Vegas for the mega fight. And if a Mayweather Jr and McGregor showdown mirrors the ticket strategy of Floyd’s fight with Manny Pacquiao, then the cheapest ticket could be bought for $1,500, with the most expensive reaching $7,500.
If the average Mayweather vs McGregor ticket costs $3,000 then the total revenue at the gate would push $50 million. Put it together and you’re talking half a billion dollars on TV and tickets in the US alone.
