Mercers compositions made a significant impact on the Great American Songbook, including songs like Autumn Leaves, Moon River, Skylark Summer Wind and so many more. Mercer was a top writer for Capital Records in the 1950s and 60s and collaborated with several iconic composers such as Henry Mancini, Johnny Mandael and Herold Arlen just to name a few. His songwriting was considered to be very prolific and provocative, creating word images through his lyrics, triggering thoughts and emotions.With a repertoire that spans classic jazz standards and contemporary interpretations, Karrant brings a modern elegance to the timeless genre of jazz. Karrant, who has recorded several of Mercers songs, will perform many of Mercers most popular hits on September 12, 2026.
