Now, Michael Jackson’s unique and unparalleled artistry comes to Vancouver in MJ, the multiple Tony Award-winning musical centered around the making of the 1992 Dangerous World Tour. Created by Tony Award-winning Director/Choreographer Christopher Wheeldon and two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage, MJ goes beyond the singular moves and signature sound of the star, offering a rare look at the creative mind and collaborative spirit that catapulted Michael Jackson into legendary status. It’s thrilling sold out crowds on Broadway, in cities across North America; London’s West End; Hamburg, Germany; and Sydney, Australia…and now MJ is startin’ somethin’ in Vancouver as it makes its premiere at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre this Fall.

In the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, there is wheelchair seating on both the Orchestra and Mezzanine Levels with special Equal Access seating which provides wheelchair spaces adjacent to regular theatre seats. For those who would rather not use the stairs, an elevator next to the main entrance operates between the Main Lobby, the Mezzanine Level and the Upper Balcony. For those requiring hearing assistance, complimentary receivers for the Sennheiser Infrared Transmission System are available at no charge at the Lobby Coat Check. Quantities are limited. A valid driver’s licence or credit card is required. Lastly, binoculars may be rented at the Main Lobby Coat Check.

Accessible seating is configured with a 1 to 1 arrangement in the Orchestra and Mezzanine Levels. Companions will have a seat provided to them beside the wheelchair. Additional companion seats may be purchased in sections nearby. The concourse area is completely accessible with entry from the main entrance doors. Elevator access available from the main lobby to the mezzanine level and the upper balcony. Wheelchair accessible washrooms located on the orchestra and mezzanine levels. Accessible parking is available with valid decal and may be reserved in advance for Queen E parkade (off Cambie). With ticket info, call (604)665-3050 at least 24 hours in advance. Depending on show configuration and stage set up, some sections may not be open for all events.

Venue Policy: All Patrons, including children and infants in arms, require a ticket to each performance at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. No cameras, audio or video recording devices allowed. In order to ensure that all patrons have an enjoyable experience, it is recommended that you allow extra time to park and get to your seats before the performance is scheduled to begin. Age Appropriateness: Recommended for ages 8 and up. Running Time: 2 hours and 30 minutes, including 1 intermission. Special Effects: This show includes theatrical haze and fog as well as a significant amount of strobing effects and loud sounds.
