This year’s already Floating away, but we’ve still got plenty planned for you! Next up is Birds of a Feather Float 2gether. This month, Jacob Ryan Smith and Tucker Stampen have crafted a summer sequel to set the world ablaze, with a soundtrack courtesy of August Bagg, Tucker, and Wilson Plonk & Jake.
Each night, youâll be able to take advantage of Floatcheck, our mobile coat and bag check service throughout the night (although space is more limited than previous years). Expect the event to last about three hours, with two intermissions at bars, but no readily accessible bar at the end of the night. Check-in only runs thirty minutes, so do not delay! If you are late you may be left behind and might not be able to catch up.
What is Float: What The Float is a one-of-a-kind immersive dance party adventure and the only naturally socially distant dance party in the city. Explore New York in a synchronous groove odyssey with the music pulsed directly into your brain but silent to any observers. Simultaneously the cityâs most private dance party and its most public spectacle. Dance where you’ve never dreamed of dancing before. Take a three hour journey through the hidden beauty of both New York City and your own freshly liberated soul. Join us the third and fourth weekend of every month for new dance jams, new dance spots, and new dance friends.
How to Float: Dress to be true to you. Wear comfortable shoes in which you can dance and run and climb and jump on even and slippery terrain. Please bring as little as possible, as Floatcheck space is more limited this year. We’ll equip you with glowing headsets, and lead you on the dance party adventure of a lifetime.
Please join us promptly at your start time if you do not want to be left behind. Check-in is only thirty minutes, and we want to keep things moving as quickly as possible. This is an age 21+ only event. All tickets are FULLY REFUNDABLE, no questions asked, with advance notice; if you are in any way concerned about your well-being, we would very much prefer you stayed home. Just let us know so we can let someone else in; these events are small and they will sell out. By purchasing a ticket you are affirming this liability waiver.
