GOOD BRAIN: Science & Comedy Show Fundraiser! at Caveat – New York, NY
Don’t miss this upcoming event in New York, NY. Happening on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at Caveat. Doors open at 2:00 PM.
Join us for the next edition of Good Brain, the science-comedy show where researchers drop knowledge and comedians try to keep up.
Our featured guest this month is Dr. Erik Nook, a clinical psychologist plus neuroscientist who founded the Logic of Emotion Lab at Princeton University. Erik’s work explores how language shapes emotion and mental health. He’ll be giving a talk titled, “How Our Words Help Us Manage Our Emotions,” where you will learn how labeling feelings can transform how we experience them. It’s therapy, neuroscience, comedy and a little existential dread all in one show.
As always we have a razor-sharp panel of comedians ready to riff, question, and lovingly derail. This show’s panel features:
Dorian Kyione Debose II @verbosedebose stand-up comedian and producer of Evil Shark Tank.
Tina Sieben @wnbawife NYC stand-up and writer for Reductress.
Matt Albino @matt_albeeno local comedian plus florist.
Hosted by Marianne Reddan (local neuroscientist) and Sean Peacook @seanpeecook who runs Manhattan Mic and is a regular contributor to Click Hole and Reductress.
