In this immersive new experience, Shakespeare’s legendary tale of ambition, blood, and prophecy is reawakened inside a gutted office building in downtown Kansas City.

Set in the distant future, the production surrounds the audience with shadows, smoke, and the rhythmic pulse of a dying world. As witches glitch, a DJ manipulates sound live each night, and audience members step into roles themselves, Macbeth KC becomes not just a story — but a haunting cycle you’re trapped inside. MACBETH KC traps its audience inside a chilling loop of power, paranoia, and collapse.

From playwright, visual artist, and costume designer Keyon Monté, in his first work for the Kansas City scene, this limited-run, fuses industrial fashion, live music , audeince participation, and guerrilla lighting to conjure a kingdom ravaged by fallout and fate.
