Sankofa Fest: An Afro Hrs Field Day is a vibrant outdoor celebration of culture, creativity, and community. This family-friendly festival brings the pulse of Afrobeats to Keney Park through live performances, field games, local vendors, and food trucks.

Inspired by the principle of Sankofa — “to go back and fetch it” — this gathering is a joyful reconnection with our roots and a celebration of forward movement through art, play, and entrepreneurship.

What to Expect:

• Afrobeats DJ sets & live performances (drummers, singers, dancers, painters & more)
• Uhuru Games – African-inspired field games for all ages (hula hoops, tic-tac-toe, jacks, ladder toss, pick-up sticks & more)
• Vendor Village – Curated Black & Brown-owned small businesses in collaboration with The Sto
• Food Trucks & Photo Booth – Flavor and fun all day long
• Scavenger Hunts & Kid Prizes – Vendor-led interactive games and youth giveaways

Each event highlights Black-owned venues, supports small businesses, and amplifies local talent.
