Adult Workshop: Ceramic Vessels at Amon Carter Museum of American Art – Fort Worth, TX
Don’t miss this upcoming event in Fort Worth, TX. Happening on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Amon Carter Museum of American Art. Doors open at 1:00 PM.
Join us to experiment and create a hand-built ceramic vessel inspired by the works of Toshiko Takaezu in East of the Pacific: Making Histories of Asian American Art. Weâll start the workshop with a tour of the exhibition before we dive into artmaking with Carter Community Artist Brenda Ciardiello. In addition to learning coil building techniques, participants will also employ and discuss underglazes to create colorful, landscape-inspired abstract finishes for their pieces, much like Takaezu. No previous experience necessary and all materials provided.
Please note: all artworks will be fired offsite and will need to be picked up at a later date. More information about pick-up will be provided to participants during the workshop.
American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation may be provided during this event upon advance request.
$10 per person supply fee, free for Carter members. Seating is limited; advance registration is recommended. Registration opens June 1.
