Rhythm and Blues (R&B) is a musical genre that originated in the 1940s with African American musicians. It combines soulful singing with a strong backbeat. The term “R&B” was coined by Jerry Wexler of Billboard magazine in 1949.

We are Darron Wheeler Entertainment, one of the longest running special event travel companies in the US. Our events are INFAMOUS in the Essence Festival World. We know that eventbrite/facebook are platforms where people look for events, but we are in no way connected to The Essence Festival.
