The Crown Brunch: Celebrating Black Women Policy-Makers at The Eliza Jane – The Unbound Collection by Hyatt – New Orleans, LA

The inaugural Crown Brunch: Celebrating Black Women in Policy during the acclaimed Essence Festival is an exclusive, high-impact fundraising event hosted by the Louisiana Legislative Black Caucus in partnership with the Louisiana Legislative Black Caucus Foundation. The event will occur on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at The Eliza Jane Hotel located at 315 Magazine Street in New Orleans from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. This brunch gathers thought leaders, legislators, athletes, entrepreneurs, and community stakeholders to support economic equity and empowerment initiatives in Louisiana and further to celebrate Black women in policy. Most importantly, it serves as a platform to advocate for social change and build political power within our communities.

This year’s theme, “Celebrating Black Women in Policy” brings a powerhouse panel to the forefront — discussing women in entrepreneurship, entertainment, sports managment and leadership. We will also have a candid discussion with women who are serving in the legislature about what our communities need now and how policy impacts generational stability.

All proceeds benefit the Louisiana Legislative Black Caucus’s year-round community development programs, student-based scholarships, and policy advancement efforts.
