About Veterans Memorial Hall:

Waterloo Veterans Memorial Hall is dedicated to preserving and sharing the military history of the City of Waterloo and the United States. Visitors can explore the nation’s rich military heritage through a diverse collection of artifacts displayed within the building and on its grounds at Soldiers and Sailors Park.

Inside, the hall showcases numerous artifacts from America’s wars and conflicts, from the Civil War to the Iraq War. The collection includes swords, rifles, bayonets, helmets, hats, shoes, uniforms, canteens, drums, pouches, medals, ribbons, and even a U.S. Navy ship’s bell.

In addition to these artifacts, the facility houses copies of significant historical documents dating back to the founding of the United States. These documents are thoughtfully presented in mobile visual cases, allowing for an engaging and accessible viewing experience.
