Project Information:

We will be completeing trail restoration work on the Tanner Butte Trail. This will include work like tread reconstruction (digging with hand tools), removing logs, and brushing the trail cooridor.

Hiking information:

We will begin the day by driving up FS Rd. 777. We will be working from the bottom of the trail, so while the hike won’t be parituclalry long, the brush may be thick, and the footing a bit unrelaible.

You should plan to participate in this trail party for its entirety. For safety reasons, please do not arrive late or expect to be able to leave early.

What to bring:

• Plenty of water
• Snacks/lunch
• Work gloves if you have them (loaner gloves available)
• Any medications or emergency supplies you may need
• Sunscreen + insect repellent
• A pack to bring all of this with you on trail
• TKO provides all tools and personal protective equipment (hard hats, gloves, glasses)

What to wear:

• Boots (Please wear something sturdy that will protect your toes from sharp tools. Tennis shoes are not recommended. Open-toed shoes will not be allowed.)
• Long pants and long sleeved shirts, preferably no button down shirts due to the ticks.
• Rain gear, insulating layers, sun protection, etc. as appropriate for the weather

Carpooling: For those who wish to carpool we will leave Migration brewing at 7:30 AM. Migration brewing is just off Hwy 84 at exit 13. Its address is18188 NE Wilkes Rd, Portland, OR 97230. After the trail party those so inclined will stop for a drink.
