Noenoe Mākeke: Motherʻs Day at Ala Kukui Hana Retreat – Hana, HI
Don’t miss this upcoming event in Hana, HI. Happening on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Ala Kukui Hana Retreat. Doors open at 5:00 PM.
A LADIES NIGHT meets EVENING MARKET to support the land stewardship of Kāmoku!
A first of its kind at Ala Kukui, this evening experience provides a beautiful and safe space for wāhine to gather and spend meaningful time together, all while supporting Ala Kukuiʻs Land Back! The mākeke vibes? Bistro lighting, live mele to serenade the evening, local artisans ʻpopping upʻ for light shopping, and pupus available for purchase. Bring your own beverages to get Motherʻs Day weekend started!
Why are we changing the format of Noenoe Nights?!
2025 marks our 10th year at Ala Kukui and we want to celebrate by sharing even more amazing news– this ‘āina is being gifted to our non-profit. The story of “Land Back” or the return of native lands back in to native hands, is what we are celebrating! The story of Kāmoku, the name of this ‘ili ‘āina, and its 145-year journey back to Native Hawaiian stewardship, is what we are celebrating!
The Noenoe Mākeke is a free event for you to attend, shop and enjoy. All registered guests will be entered into a raffle drawing! We would be honored if you considered donating a small amount to our Kūpono o Kāmoku Stewardship Support Fund; to help us reach our $150,000 goal for year 1 of the stewardship of this ‘āina.
