Spring Break Clothing Swap for All Ages – Baltimore, MD

Did you know the average American sends 81.5 pounds of clothing to landfills each year? Clothing swaps offer a sustainable and affordable way to refresh your wardrobe.

Join us for an all-ages Spring Cleaning clothing swap! Bring gently used spring and summer clothes you no longer need, and “shop” for new-to-you items while helping reduce waste. All ages are welcome to participate.

What to expect:

• Spring and summer apparel for all ages
• Styling sessions
• Free Haircuts and braiding (appointments are first come, first serve)

Guidelines:

• All items should be in wearable condition (gently used, smoke-free, and clean)
• Swappable items include: shirts, pants, dresses, jackets, shoes, handbags, and backpacks
• Underwear, swimwear, pajamas, and socks must be new and in packaging
• Items may be brought on the day of the event or donated in advance

Interested in donating or bringing clothing ahead of time for the swap? We will accept donations on a rolling basis beginning March 10. Donations can be brought in to the Central Library at 400 Cathedral Street Monday – Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. See Security at the Cathedral Street entrance to assist with your donation drop off, and ensure your donation is clearly labeled for “Clothing Swap.” Please contact mmccaully@prattlibrary.org with any questions regarding item eligibility or drop off.
