6:30 pm: MCYT Bard Bums “Hamlet Primer: What Could Go Wrong?”
7:00 pm: Hamlet
Where: The Container Globe. 1391 Taylor St, Detroit, MI
What: To be [at the show] or not to be, that is the question! Shakespeareâs Hamlet is the classic story of a family, and a kingdom, torn apart by political unrest, corruption, and grief. When the king of Denmark is killed under mysterious circumstances, Prince Hamlet is visited by a specter that accuses Hamlet’s uncle, the new king of Denmark, of foul play. Hamlet must then decide whether or not to trust the spirit, and his own suspicions, and avenge his father.
With only 5 actors, Starling’s shows are fast-placed, playful, and nimble interpretations of the Bard’s classic plays. And at only 90 minutes, they’re perfect for date night or an afternoon out with the family!
Bring a blanket or lawn chair, and a picnic!
