Firefly Walk at Rockefeller State Park Preserve – Pleasantville, NY
Don’t miss this upcoming event in Pleasantville, NY. Happening on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Rockefeller State Park Preserve. Doors open at 8:00 PM.
The fireflies are out en masse and they put on a spectacular show this time of year! We’ll set out just before sunset and meander through open meadows as the fireflies awaken from their slumber and begin to display their love language.
Meet in the Visitor Center courtyard. The hike will be about 4 miles, leashed dogs are welcome. Please bring water, a flashlight or headlamp, and wear comfortable closed-toed shoes.
Max: 40 people. Cost: $4. Parking: $6 per vehicle.
IMPORTANT: As most private transportation providers, such as Uber and Lyft, will not service the Preserve location in the evening hours, please secure your transportation arrangements accordingly.
We leave promptly at scheduled times. This is a night hike, after the park has closed. Latecomers will not be able to join after the group has departed.
In the event of rain, the hike may be canceled or postponed; you will be notified via email by 2 pm the day of the hike.
