Workshop Description
Learn how to create your own unique and artistic fabric collages using a technique called raw edge appliqué! You will learn about how to prepare and collage fabric onto clothing or as a standalone art piece by attaching fusible interfacing, pinning and sewing with a free motion foot. You will also hear about how these pieces can be incorporated into clothing or quilted, or a combination of both!

About Raine Robichaud
I am an artist and art educator based in Berkeley, CA. I am passionate about creating fun and accessible arts spaces. I aim to organize workshops where anyone can explore and experiment with a new material and where participants can build community with each other. I recently wrote and illustrated Crumpled Paper Crafts, an activity book designed for children of all ages.
Art programs I have worked with include the Museum of Children’s Arts, Creative Growth Art Center and Rock Paper Scissors Collective.
