LTC Adrian Nicole Watts was born in Dallas, Texas, where she lived with her family until attending the United States Military Academy (USMA) beginning in June of 2000. Her interest in the Army began when she was recruited by the USMA soccer coaches to play for the team, which she did while at the Academy.

LTC Watts graduated and was commissioned in 2004 as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Signal Corps, and was sent to Fort Hood (now Fort Cavazos) where she became a platoon leader in C Company, 57th Signal Battalion, 3rd Signal Brigade. She later became the Executive Officer for B Company, 57th Signal Battalion, and deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom. While deployed, she moved to the S4 (logistics officer) position within the Battalion. After redeploying, she was selected as a Company Commander and took command of B Company, 57th Signal Battalion. She was then deployed to Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and attached to the 82nd Airborne Division HQ at Bagram Air Field. Upon returning, LTC Watts was sent to the Signal Captain’s Career Course, then stationed at Fort Huachuca, AZ where she served as the Assistant Secretary to the General Staff at NETCOM Headquarters.

LTC Watts then transitioned to the Acquisition Corps and attended the Acquisition Basic Course in 2012. She returned to Fort Huachuca to serve as an Automation Systems Engineer in Information Systems Engineering Command. After her time there, she moved to Fort Cavazos, TX and served as a Test Officer in Operational Test Command and was later selected to participate in the Advanced Civil Schooling (ACS) program to pursue her MBA. She moved to Huntsville, AL to attend the University of Alabama in Huntsville, where she graduated with her degree in May 2017.

LTC Watts was then assigned to Program Executive Office (PEO) Aviation in July 2017 to work as the Assistant Product Manager (APM) for the Enhanced Medium Altitude Reconnaissance & Surveillance System (EMARSS) aircraft program in PEO Aviation’s Fixed Wing Project Office, and then transitioned in May of 2018 to PM Aviation Systems to work as the APM for mission radios in Army Tactical Communications Systems. After her time in PEO Aviation, LTC Watts was reassigned to the Missile Defense Agency in July 2019 to serve as a deputy Product Manager for the AN/TPY-2 (THAAD) radar. After her time in MDA, she was given the opportunity to serve as a Training with Industry (TWI) fellow at Boeing, Huntsville, before being assigned to her current position as the Product Manager of Radar Warning and Infrared Countermeasures in PM Aircraft Survivability Equipment in Huntsville, AL beginning in June of 2022.

LTC Watts’ awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster (OLC), Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with 1 OLC, Army Commendation Medal with 2 OLC, Army Achievement Medal with 2 OLC, and the Meritorious Unit Crest.
